John R. Park Homestead Conservation Area

Step back in time to experience Early Settler life while getting hands-on with history at the John R. Park Homestead. This authentic living history farm museum provides connections to human and natural history! Situated on the shore of Lake Erie, the 19 acre site features a Provincially Significant Wetland, nature trails, new Conservation Centre, and more!

The original 1842 Park Family house and farm buildings provide an immersive backdrop for your experience. Students can become immersed in the trades in the sawmill, blacksmith shop, and loom shed. Make traditional treats on the hearth and take part in seasonal celebrations including harvest and maple-making experiences. Ask about opportunities for upper-level science, SHSM courses and extension activities for teachers.

Inspire your students to be a part of history and make memories to last a lifetime!
