Immersive Canadian History Programs
Immerse your students in Canadian history, 75 feet underground.
The Diefenbunker offers a one-of-a-kind experiential learning environment inside Canada’s most significant Cold War artifact — an impressive four-storey underground facility that operated as the country’s central communications headquarters during the Cold War. Combining an informative tour with interactive activities and discussion, classes and youth groups can experience the complexities of the Cold War first-hand and discuss the implications on our lives today.
Educational programs are offered on site and virtually. Topics include: Art and Peacebuilding; Conflict Resolution; Continuity of Government; Daily Life in the Diefenbunker; and Emergency Preparedness.
