PETERBOROUGH, ON – July 20, 2026 — Fans of Canadian alternative rock are in for one of the biggest nights of the summer as Matthew Good and His Band make their Peterborough Musicfest debut on Wednesday, July 22 at Del Crary Park.
For more than three decades, Matthew Good has been one of Canada’s most influential alternative rock artists. From the chart-topping success of the Matthew Good Band through an acclaimed solo career, he has earned multiple Platinum-selling albums, 21 Juno Award nominations, and created songs that have become part of the soundtrack for generations of Canadian music fans.
Audiences can expect an unforgettable evening featuring favourites including Hello Time Bomb, Load Me Up, Apparitions, Everything Is Automatic, Weapon, and more, performed with the passion, musicianship, and unmistakable sound that have made Matthew Good one of Canada’s most compelling live performers.
“Matthew Good’s songs have been part of Canadians’ lives for more than 30 years,” says Tracey Randall, Executive Director of Peterborough Musicfest. “To welcome him and his band to the Fred Anderson Stage is incredibly exciting—not just for our team, but for the thousands of fans we know will be singing along all night. It’s going to be one of those special Musicfest evenings people will be talking about long after the final encore.”
The evening gets underway at 6:30 p.m. with emerging artist Graeme Jonez, appearing as part of the Future Sound Series presented by Cogeco, with support from the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund.
With one of the season’s largest crowds expected, concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full Musicfest experience, secure parking, and find a spot on the lawn before the music begins.
Visitors can also purchase tickets for the Peterborough Musicfest 50/50 raffle, visit the merchandise tent, and scan QR codes throughout the park to access the new Musicfest app, where fun challenges offer the chance to win prizes throughout the evening.
Admission is free thanks to the generous support of sponsors, partners, donors, and volunteers who make Peterborough Musicfest possible.
