Event Details

A powerful reimagining of Hamlet like no other. Eight actors with Down syndrome take the stage to share their desires, struggles, and questions through this bold adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic. Blending the original text with the personal stories of the performers, the play begins with one of the most profound questions ever asked: ‘To be or not to be?’ But here, it’s not just a line, it’s a lived experience.

What does it mean to be in a world that often overlooks you? In a society obsessed with productivity, beauty, and perfection, this production challenges us to rethink who gets to belong, and what it truly means to live a meaningful life.

BPAC is proud to collaborate with colleagues to bring this company from Peru on a national tour in Spring 2027.
