DOWN ON THE FARM/TOWN LIFE

Down on the Farm is a chance for students to experience the joys and trials of pioneer life in Upper Canada with a visit to an early log home, rustic country inn and one room school house. Town life looks at what life was like to live in a small town in Canada during the second half of the 19th century. Learn about a child’s life in a Confederation-era home, the central importance of a general store, the impact of railways on small communities and the development and popularity of motion pictures at the turn of the century.
