Those who have been following me for a while know how much I value experiences that involve learning, respecting and connecting with the world around us — especially when it comes to teaching this to my children. Thomas actually visited Ripley’s Aquarium when he was a baby, but since then I decided to wait. I waited for them to grow up a little, so that they could understand the true purpose of places like this: not only to see incredible fish and marine animals, but to reflect on the importance of caring for the environment and marine life. This month, the moment finally arrived! We made our long-awaited visit to Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto, and it was very special.
