Offered each year from May to October, rain or shine, each walk combines the excitement of exploring diverse and vibrant neighbourhoods with the expertise of knowledgeable guides and the adventure of learning. There are many neighbourhoods to explore, each with its own story to tell. Stories that speak to history, people, architecture, arts, and much more.

Free, Plus, and Private Group ROMWalks are available to the general public. Member Exclusive ROMWalks are also available to ROM Members.

ROMWalks are free and require no registration. Simply turn up at a walk’s starting point and look for the ROMWalks umbrella. Free walks are scheduled on Sundays at 2pm and Wednesdays at 6pm.

Private Group ROMWalks are perfect for clubs, corporate and community groups, out-of-town visitors, or large gatherings of friends and family. These walks can be scheduled for any available day and time. Cost is $10 per person with a group minimum of $100. Email groupsales@rom.on.ca for more information.

Then slow down and embrace the wonders of nature in Earth: An Immersive Journey—a multisensory tour through several of our planet’s vibrant ecosystems.
From a windswept arctic vista to a lush rainforest, this exhibition brings habitats to life with a combination of high-definition projections, scent diffusions, and spatial audio. The result? A one-of-a-kind immersive experience—bursting with plants, animals, fungi, and microbes—that reminds you of the joyous interconnectedness of life.

Quilts are repositories of past and present lives. Exquisitely patterned and meticulously stitched, they hold the interwoven legacies of home and family. The exhibition features rarely displayed Canadian-made quilts dating from the 1850s to the present day, and showcases a range of designs from utility quilts constructed from recycled materials for warmth and comfort to stunning examples created to mark life changing events. Made by individuals and communities, each quilt unlocks unique stories about makers, materials, composition, construction, and the shared histories of those who made it.

The timeless beauty of colour paired with each quilt’s clever and complex composition will fascinate, captivate, and inspire, whether you’re a novice or experienced quilter, interested in making sustainable design solutions, or keen to learn more about historic and contemporary culture of everyday life in Canada.

The Toronto Waterfront Festival returns September 14-15 to Sugar Beach with the Canine Watersports Canada competition. Watch adorable pups dive, jump, and fetch in a 45ft pool built on land and stand in the splash zone to see dogs fly through the air all weekend.

Other festival programs include:

• Walk the plank with Pirate Life interactive theatre and see a real-life pirate ship.
• Meet the crew of the Canadian Armed Forces and learn what life is like as a military member.
• Listen to emerging artists from The Remix Project and experience pop-up entertainment presented by Redpath Sugar.

The festival is free to attend but attendees are encouraged to voluntarily pay what they can at the info booths to help keep the event free for years to come.

The Hockey Hall of Fame is set to welcome hockey’s newest legends, Class of 2024 Inductees – Natalie Darwitz, Pavel Datsyuk, Jeremy Roenick, Shea Weber and Krissy Wendell in the Player Category and Colin Campbell and David Poile in the Builder Category.

Events commemorating the Class of 2024 include a Q&A Fan Forum, Legends Photo Op and the annual Hyundai Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Classic (Team Hefford vs Team Lindros at Scotiabank Arena). The weekend will culminate with the Induction Celebration Gala taking place during the evening of Monday, November 11.

Two star-laden teams led by Honoured Members Jayna Hefford and Eric Lindros faceoff in this annual Induction Weekend event celebrating hockey’s newest legends.

Witness hockey history as the Class of 2024 – Colin Campbell, Natalie Darwitz, Pavel Datsyuk, David Poile, Jeremy Roenick, Shea Weber and Krissy Wendell – receive their official Honoured Member Blazers at centre ice in a pre-game ceremony.
