The Manitowaning Summerfest 2025, hosted by the Southeast Manitoulin Lions Club, is set to take place from July 18 to 20 in Manitowaning, Ontario. This vibrant community festival offers a weekend filled with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and local traditions.

Event Highlights:

July 18: The festivities kick off with a slow-pitch softball tournament and a ball hockey tournament, providing opportunities for friendly competition and community engagement.

July 19: Enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast at the historic Knox Church, followed by a lively parade showcasing local groups and organizations. The day continues with various kids’ events, including a 100-foot waterslide, ensuring fun for all ages. In the evening, the Country Fest Jamboree features performances by local talent, and the night concludes with a video music dance party.

July 20: The weekend wraps up with the exciting Smash-Up Derby, a crowd favorite that promises thrilling entertainment.

The 149th Annual Manitowaning Fall Fair is set to take place on September 5 and 6, 2025, at the Manitowaning Fairgrounds in Manitowaning, Ontario. Organized by the Manitowaning Agricultural Society, this cherished event celebrates the region’s agricultural heritage and community spirit.

This year’s fair, themed “Barnyard Boogie,” promises a weekend filled with traditional fair activities and family-friendly entertainment. Attendees can look forward to agricultural exhibits, livestock shows, homecraft displays, and various competitions. Highlights include the 4-H exhibits, horse halter classes, horse pulls, and the ever-popular tea biscuit competition, where the coveted “tea biscuit crown” is awarded to the best baker.
