“Family Fun, Second to None!” Entering its 41st year in 2026, Port Elgin Pumpkinfest is an award winning public harvest celebration which takes place the weekend before the Canadian Thanksgiving, and features two official sanctioned International Weigh Offs of giant fruits and vegetables. But that’s not all! Inside Pumpkinfest village visitors can enjoy the Midway, Marketplace and local musicians and performers in the “Party in the Patch” tented area beside the diverse Food truck area. Programming included bands and musicians, magician, dancers and variety show attractions . One of the most popular activities attended by many was the kids “Popstar” karaoke programming. Kiddie Carnival free activities include pumpkin carving, scarecrow making free pony rides and interactive games. 1000 cars take part in the Cinderella’s Carriage Antique Car Show – one of Ontario’s largest two-day car shows. The cars line a ten block area in the downtown core right beside the Pumpkinfest Village.
