Muskoka Brewery

Handcrafted, Small Batch Brewed

Nestled in the heart of Muskoka, Muskoka Brewery handcrafts premium beers as unique and refreshing as the region they’re from.

Founders Gary McMullen and Kirk Evans kicked open the doors of Muskoka Brewery in June of 1996. Currently owned and operated by Todd Lewin and Bob MacDonald, what started as a very small and dedicated team has quickly grown to a passionate band of beer lovers more than 130 strong.

In short, we have a passion for great beer and we hope you get a chance to enjoy it.

WHY MUSKOKA?

There is only one Muskoka. It is a special place where rugged granite outcrops and lonely windswept pines meet the shimmering beauty of freshwater lakes. Unspoiled natural beauty is what people find here in Muskoka. This place is our home. It is at the heart of what we brew.

Go ahead, taste it

WE’RE PROUD OF OUR PERSONAL, IN-DEPTH BREWERY TOURS; HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE.
  • Grab a sample of your favourite Muskoka beer, and hear the story of how we began in 1996 in an 8,000 sq ft Brewery in downtown Bracebridge, to where we are today at our 40,000 sq ft location.
  • Take a look at our Brewhouse, and learn the brewery process, from the way we mill our barley, to how we add our hops. If you’re lucky, you might even meet some of our Brewers, who love talking beer almost as much as they love drinking it.
  • Visit our Quality Control lab, where we ensure every beer leaving our Brewery meets our quality and freshness standards.
  • Head to our bottling and canning lines, where on packaging days you’ll see our machines in action as they clean, fill, and label our beer before it hits the shelf.
  • Head back to our Tap Room to sample some of the freshest beer you’ll ever taste, and take home a few favourites.
