The Circuit of 5 Viewpoints is a trail that offers a challenging traverse from the moment you leave the trailhead. Hikers ascend a gentle rise along the stony backbone of a classic Canadian Shield ridge, a route designed for both scenic value and minimal environmental impact. Along the way you will pass under a canopy of maple, ash, ironwood, cherry, white pine and hemlock.
Look closely and you will note beech trees scribed with bear claw marks lofe over the years by nimble black bears harvesting beech nuts in the autumn. Each viewpoint is situated on a different dramactic cliff that overlooks rugged valleys, placid rivers, marsh meadows, or scenic distant lakes.
