Burlington Heights, where Dundurn stands today, was occupied by the British military from 1813 -1815. Housed in Battery Lodge, the museum tells the story of the people who lived in the area during the War of 1812. Blood Ties to a Gentle Landscape showcases the historical figures of this area through documentary evidence, period artefacts, and stories passed down through generations. Through artefacts and images the First World War exhibit located in The Coach House reveals the impact the war had on those who fought.
