Invest in Musicfest Night invites donations — with contests,
costumes, and timeless hits!
Peterborough, ON (July 21, 2025) — Peterborough Musicfest welcomes back
audience favourites Abbamania and Night Fever for their sixth visit to the Fred
Anderson stage on Wednesday, July 23. Having already turned the park into a
glittering disco inferno five times before, these acclaimed tribute acts are ready to
outdo themselves yet again this summer.
This high-energy evening is also Invest in Musicfest night — a chance to show
your love for free, world-class music by making a donation and keeping the music
alive for years to come. And to crank the fun up to eleven, we’re throwing a Best
Dressed Contest! Strut your stuff in your flashiest 70s-inspired look — think glitter,
sequins, bell bottoms, platforms, and all the disco vibes — and you just might
take home the title. Let’s light up the park with colour, sparkle, and style!
It’s been over 40 years since ABBA last toured — and even then, tickets were
scarce. Since 1999, Abbamania has been recreating the magic of one of the
world’s greatest pop groups, with dazzling vocals and authentic costumes. Praised
by The New York Times as “vocally superb” and by the Mamma Mia! cast as
“Abbamania IS ABBA,” this production continues to enchant audiences around
the globe.
Opening the show is Night Fever, the ultimate Bee Gees tribute. With soaring
harmonies and irresistible energy, Night Fever brings hits like “Stayin’ Alive,” “Jive
Talkin’,” and “You Should Be Dancing” to life — just as they did when they last
appeared at Musicfest in 2007. Together, these two professional tribute bands
perform over 200 shows a year and deliver a nostalgic, high-energy journey
through the golden age of disco and pop.
The evening kicks off early with Happy Hour food deals from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, and
at 6:30 PM the Future Sound Series presented by Cogeco features local emerging
artist Nickola Magnolia, showcasing incredible homegrown talent. The main stage
show begins at 8:00 PM, starting with Night Fever followed by Abbamania.
Join us for a night of unforgettable music, dazzling costumes, and community
spirit — and help keep Musicfest barrier-free by making a donation on Invest in
Musicfest Night. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. For more
