Third up in the 2019 Summer Season celebrating uniquely made in Canada stories, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre is excited to present “Lunenburg” by Canada’s most produced playwright, Norm Foster. Running from June 5th, in our newly renovated Grace Auditorium, this sparkling east-coast comedy enjoys an extended four week run with a closing June 29th.
Audiences will be pleased to recognize actors Sarah Machin Gale (“A Christmas Story”, “Perfect Wedding”, “Old Wives’ Tales”, and “Halfway There”), Sharon McFarlane (“Affections of May”, “Meet My Sister”, and “Ladies Foursome”), and Terry Barna (“Harvest”, “The Birds and the Bees”, “Mending Fences”, and “Having Hope at Home”) as they return to the Port Stanley stage. “Lunenburg” is directed by PSFT Artistic Director Simon Joynes, Assistant Directed by Rachel Jones, and Stage Managed by Suzanne McArthur, with Set Design by PSFT’s Production Manager Tony Sclafani, and Lighting Design by Karen Crichton.
“Deft one-liners, compelling characters, and plenty of heart, a masterful new Canadian comedy by Canada’s favourite playwright.”
With a varied season, which will appeal to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre provides another season of top-quality entertainment in 2019.
