“A masterful new Canadian comedy classic by Canada’s favorite playwright.”
Second up in the 2018 40th Anniversary Summer Season celebrating uniquely made in Canada stories, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre is thrilled to present “Halfway There” by Canada’s most produced playwright, Norm Foster. Running from June 6th, in our newly renovated Grace Auditorium, this rollicking east-coast comedy enjoys an extended four week run with a closing June 30th.
Audiences will be pleased to recognize actors Liz Gilroy (“Knickers, a Brief Comedy”, “Mini Putt”, and “Boeing, Boeing”) Marcia Tratt (“Hilda’s Yard”, “Misery”, and “Looking”), and Sarah Gale (“Perfect Wedding”, “Old Wives’ Tales”, and “A Christmas Carol”) as they return to the Port Stanley stage, and to welcome newcomers Andy Pogson (“5 Alarm” and “I’ll Be Back Before Midnight”) and Daniela Vlaskalic (“Deathtrap” and Doubt”. “Halfway There” is directed by PSFT Artistic Director Simon Joynes, and Stage Managed by Jory McLean, with Set Design by PSFT’s Production Manager Tony Sclafani, and Lighting Design by Karen Crichton.
“Dr Sean is looking to escape for a while. What he hasn’t prepared for is a quartet of diner divas set on giving him a truly east coast welcome! Romance, gossip, bawdy tales, and the true meaning of friendships that last forever.”
With a varied season, which will appeal to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre provides another season of top quality entertainment in 2018.
