Manitoulin Island known as Spirit Island or Mnidoo Mnising in Ojibwe is the traditional territory of the Ojibwe,Odawa and Potawatomi tribes, within lands protected by the Manitoulin Island Treaty (45 and 94). Made up of 10 communities and 6 first Nations there are things to do, places to see, foods to try, and events to take part in that will accommodate whatever experience you would like to have. Visit the archeological site, a museum, a cultural centre, art gallery or just sit on the beach and relax. Take part in a local community supper, farmers market or event.
