On Friday May 11, 2018 The Port Stanley Festival Theatre is launching a celebration of 40 years of Live Theatre with their annual Spotlight Gala.
The evening starts off with hors d’ouvres and a silent auction at 6:30pm , followed by the comedy of featured artist Chris Gibbs at 8pm.
“British comedian Chris Gibbs is best known for the critically acclaimed one-man comedy shows which he performs all over Canada and beyond. He’s played at Just for Laughs in Montreal, appeared in two CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival Galas, starred in the indie Canadian feature film, ‘Run Robot Run’ and is even a published author. In 2016 he could be seen but not recognized as one of the evil giants in the feature The BFG, directed by Steven Spielberg.”
Chris started his comedy career in 1991, working as a street performer and then performing in stand-up and improv shows around London. Moving to Canada in 2002 he began writing and performing one-man theatre shows as well as on screen appearances.
