Upper Canada Village

SELF-GUIDED DISCOVERY VISIT

Visit an 1860s village and experience a real-life, interactive environment to learn about life in Upper Canada. Choose your own path through the Village and meet the blacksmith, tavern keeper, weaver, mill workers, farmers, school teacher, and other costumed village inhabitants to learn about their life and work in 1860s society. Horse-drawn boat and wagon rides are included in admission.

Upper Canada Village

VILLAGE OVERNIGHT LIVE-IN ADVENTURE

The Live-in Adventure provides school and youth groups with a day-long, overnight opportunity to immerse themselves in the life of an 1860s village. Through a combination

of role-playing and hands-on activities, participants gain knowledge and understanding of early settlements and daily life within Upper Canada. Activities led by village staff include farm chores, work at trade shops, domestic crafts, and attendance at the Village’s school.

To complete the experience, get dressed from head to toe in 1860s attire provided on-site.

Dates are available in May, June, and September 2018.
