The Manitoulin Art Tour is an annual celebration of creativity held each July on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. Organized by the Manitoulin Fine Arts Association (MFAA), this self-guided tour invites visitors to explore the island’s diverse artistic community. In 2025, the event is scheduled for July 18-20th.
Spanning the island from Meldrum Bay to South Baymouth, the tour features over 60 artists showcasing a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, pottery, jewelry, and textiles. Artists open their studios and galleries to the public, offering a unique opportunity to meet creators, view their work, and purchase original pieces.
The tour also highlights the island’s scenic beauty, with many locations offering picturesque views and tranquil settings. Notable stops include the South Bay Gallery, known for its pottery and indigenous crafts, and the Perivale Gallery, which hosts the annual “In the Spirit of Tom Thomson & the Group of Seven” exhibition.
Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a cultural weekend amidst stunning landscapes, the Manitoulin Art Tour offers a memorable experience. For more information, visit the MFAA website at manitoulinart.com.
