Canadian Museum of Nature

Interactive and fun! Canada’s natural history museum is located in a beautiful castle in downtown Ottawa. Four floors of galleries feature dinosaurs; a blue whale skeleton; iconic Canadian mammals; dazzling minerals and gemstones; Canadian birds, and much more! A new Arctic Gallery opens June 2017.

The Water Gallery emphasizes the importance of water in sustaining all living things. The Earth Gallery reveals how geology and mineralogy apply to everyday life. Curriculum-based workshops (K-12) are offered from October through June. Gallery Highlights Tour and selfguided tours available year round.
