😱 “SCIENCE OF FEAR” TALK: Explore the strange and often unexpected science of fear through the lenses of psychology and physiology. How do we learn how to fear certain things? Can we un-learn it? Why do some of us love to be scared? Join horror fan and author, Nina Nesseth, as she examines what scares us and why.
🪵 WOOD BURNING: Wood burn magnets in fun fall and Halloween shapes! Plus, learn about the science of wood burning and how it works.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nina Nesseth is a professional science communicator (M.Sc. Comm) whose special interest lies at the intersection of human biology and popular culture. She is the author of NIGHTMARE FUEL: THE SCIENCE OF HORROR FILMS (Tor Nightfire, 2022), which dissects the psychology and physiology of how audiences engage with horror films, as well as co-author of THE SCIENCE OF ORPHAN BLACK: THE OFFICIAL COMPANION (ECW, 2017).
