Event Details

Over sixty original facemasks tell the stories of their makers, their cultures, and their communities in this original ROM exhibition.

Masks created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic attest to the power of artistic ingenuity and human creativity in the face of a global crisis. From powerful messages embodied in the masks to the exquisite artistry in their construction to the stories of support, substance, and community that they reveal, Unmasking the Pandemic invites visitors to discover the unique—and universal—reflections and reactions of mask makers…and wearers.
