Muskoka Heritage Place

PIONEER, FIRST NATIONS AND MÉTIS CURRICULUM

Muskoka Heritage Place has plenty of activities geared to entertain, educate and stimulate your classes’ historic senses! Our village features two museums, eighteen authentic pioneer buildings and an open-aired train ride, all situated on a beautiful ninety-acre site. Our programs focus on a rotating schedule of activities showing life in a crossroads community circa 1880-1910 including: First Nations and Métis sharing, a blacksmith demonstration, settler’s baking, one-room school lesson, museum tour, chores and games, tours of pioneer dwellings, a farm animal visit and a complimentary ride on our Portage Flyer train (check availability).
