THE DAVID THOMPSON’S SUN, MOON AND STARS

Our vast Universe has been a guiding force for explorers and cultures for centuries. The David Thompson Astronomical Observatory features one of Canada’s largest telescopes and provides a wonderful introduction to the Universe for a wide range of age and grade levels. The basics of the sun, moon and stars provides a fantastic starting point for new astronomers (Grade 1+) and for experienced students looking for a more mathematical approach (Grade 9+). This flexible program provides an introduction and extension for topics, such as orbits, gases, stars, moons, suns, phases, and more. Overnight program options, accommodations and catering are available.
